Các lãnh đạo Pháp, ông Manuel Valls cùng với François Hollande và Bernard Cazeneuve có mặt ở phủ thủ tướng họp khẩn.

Nhiều người bị bắt giữ làm con tin trong rạp hát ở Bataclan.

Tại quán Petite Cambodge có 10 người nằm dưới đất, không rõ là chết hay bị thương, theo BBC News.

Lực lượng an ninh và chống khủng bố được triển khai ở hiện trường.

Nhiều xe cứu thương cũng được truyền hình cho thấy đang cấp cứu, hỗ trợ nạn nhân và người dân tại chỗ.

At least 127 people were killed late Friday after gunmen opened fire at least three locations in central Paris and fled in a car. They later took around 100 people hostage in a concert hall, police said.

A fourth shooting spree was also reported at the Les Halles shopping mall, according to Europe 1 Radio.

At about the same time as the initial shooting spree, two explosions were heard at or near the the Stade de France, the national stadium, where Germany and France were holding a soccer match, the Associated Press reports. It was not immediately clear if the two events were related.

The newspaper Liberation said officials speaking over a loudspeaker asked the crowd to evacuate calmly. French President Francois Hollande was at the game at the time and left to deal with the crisis.

In Washington, President Obama called the assaults an "attack on all humanity and the universal values we all share." He called it "a heartbreaking situation."

Obama says he does not want to speculate about who may be responsible for Paris attacks.

No group took immediately responsibility for the attacks.

According to the Associated Press, a police official said 11 people were killed in a Paris restaurant in the 10th arrondissement, and about 35 killed in the Bataclan theatre, where a hostage-taking is under way. The California rock group Eagles of Death Metal were playing at the time. One or possible two people came into the concert hall and began shooting, BFM TV reports..

The shootings occurred in the adjoining 10th and 11th districts on the right bank of the Seine in central Paris outside the restaurant Le Petit Cambodia and the bar Le Carillon.

Emilioi Macchio, from Ravenna, Italy, was at the Carillon bar near the restaurant that was targeted, having a beer on the sidewalk, when the shooting started. He said he didn’t see any gunmen or victims, but hid behind a corner, then ran away. “It sounded like fireworks,” he said.

"I was on my way to my sister's when I heard shots being fired. Then I saw three people dead on the ground, I know they were dead because they were being wrapped up in plastic bags," student Fabien Baron tells Reuters.

Witness Ben Grant told the BBC he and his wife were in a bar when he heard gunshots. He was in the back of the bar, didn't see much.

“There are a lot of dead people. It’s pretty horrific to be honest ... The pile of bodies in front was too much for my wife to walk over." Police finally came and got everyone out. There appeared to be at least seven dead, he said.

The French newspaper Liberation quotes a witness as saying two armed men got out of a car parked in the street and began firing. They then jumped back into the vehicle and fled.

Vincent Berthezene, a production assistant for France2 TV tweeted that shots from a Kalashnikov were fired from a car. "Bodies are on the ground," he writes.

A few minutes later, gunfire broke out near the Bataclan Boulevard Voltaire, southeast of the initial incident, as hostages were taken at the Bataclan concert hall.

A BBC journalist at the scene reports 10 people were seen in the street, either dead or seriously injured.
